We have been expanding into new and exciting products and wanted to have
everything "under one roof", so to speak.
The original and still the same,
Buttermilk Lane's jewelry is artfully created by Maine artisan,
Ruth Wales,
using REAL FLOWERS, such as Forget-Me-Nots, Sweet
Alyssum, Bridal Veil Spiraea, and other tiny flowers.
Much of the jewelry is created from non-endangered Maine wildflowers
gathered along the roadsides, woods, and fields in western Maine.
All pins are one-of-a-kind and
personally signed. Each piece of jewelry is a true work of
miniature art.

For the happy times, Ruth offers
bridal party jewelry. She will work with you to create custom pieces
to match your gowns.
If your wedding is past and you have air dried your flowers, she can
make "confetti" jewelry from your bridal bouquet.
And for the sad times, Ruth offers memorial jewelry. She can make
framed art or jewelry from your special person's
memorial service and she also offers sentimental Forget-Me-Nots made
into endearing pendants to help comfort a mother
who has lost her baby to a miscarriage.

your home!
Ruth's latest work involves capturing ultra high resolution digital
scans of three dimensional objects like flowers, seeds, and berries with
a flatbed scanner. She uses special techniques to maintain the integrity
of the flower in it's natural state.
The results are amazing! The two initial statements from customers at
Ruth's retail shows are "WOW!
They just "POP" and "They look 3D". Her black backgrounds are a
signature statement that emphasizes each image to the fullest.
They are available as framed or matted floral prints and also as beautiful
botanical note
cards.
